Book Of The Month
Hello my wonderful reader’s, I hope you are all well this sunny Spring day. As always, I am incredibly late with my ‘Book Of The Month’ – honestly one day, I will ditch my tardiness and actually post on time. But, until that day comes you will all have to bare with me being less then professional with my late posts. So we are well in to a new month now, I can’t believe how fast this year is going and that can only mean one thing; a whole new Book of the Month, but what will I be spotlighting this month?
The book I have chosen for May is one of my favourites, really I absolutely adore it. It is such a joy to read, from the very first page I was hooked by the story, the character’s and the authors stylish flare with words, and it comes from another amazing lady who has become one of my favourite authors. This book is amazing, it is utterly romantic but as always with this author it is a real journey to the end. You never know where it’s going to take you, with her mixed blend of romance, intrigue and that ever present Gaelic allure that we have all come to know and very much love about this particular authors writing and which takes this book right up there with the very best. Honestly, I could talk about this one for hours but you don’t want that, you want to know what great book it is. So with out further ado, here it is…
Chicks, Rogues and Scandals May ‘Book of the Month’ is….
Little Pink Taxi
Take a ride with Love Taxis, the cab company with a Heart …
Rosalie Heart is a well-known face in Irlwick – well, if you drive a bright pink taxi and your signature style is a pink anorak, you’re going to draw a bit of attention! But Rosalie’s company Love Taxis is more than just a gimmick – for many people in the remote Scottish village, it’s a lifeline.
Which is something that Marc Petersen will never understand. Marc’s ruthless approach to business doesn’t extend to pink taxi companies running at a loss. When he arrives in Irlwick to see to a new acquisition – Raventhorn, a rundown castle – it’s apparent he poses a threat to Rosalie’s entire existence; not just her business, but her childhood home too.
On the face of it Marc and Rosalie should loathe each other, but what they didn’t count on was somebody playing cupid …
What people are saying about Little Pink Taxi:

This particular book is far, far more than just an beautiful cover. The story within is one which really pulls at your heartstrings. Set during an era that we see so little of in Historical Romance and we really do need more from WW1 in Historical Romance. This book really spoke to me, even more so as this is an era which is so very close to my heart. This book is so beautiful, poignant, astonishingly touching and will definitely have you falling in love with the lead character’s. But, what is it?
Ok, Chicks, Rogues and Scandals April ‘Book of the Month’ is….
The Captain and The Cavalry Trooper
As the Great War tears Europe apart, two men from different worlds find sanctuary in each other’s arms.
Captain Robert Thorne is the fiercest officer in the regiment. Awaiting the command to go to the front, he has no time for simpering, comely lads. That’s until one summer day in 1917, when his dark, flashing eye falls upon the newest recruit at Chateau de Desgravier, a fresh-faced farmer’s boy with little experience of life and a wealth of poetry in his heart.
Trooper Jack Woodvine has a way with strong, difficult stallions, and whispers them to his gentle will. Yet even he has never tamed a creature like Captain Thorne.
With the shadow of the Great War and the scheming of enemies closer to home threatening their fleeting chance at happiness, can the captain and the cavalry trooper make it home safely? More importantly, will they see peacetime together?

The book I have chosen for February’s Book Of The Month is so good, its apart of a series – in fact the series is brilliant too and each book can be read so easily as a stand-a-lone’s. How much do I love this guy? The heroine is such a brilliant woman, feisty and intelligent – plus there is a dog, you know me if the hero has a dog then I’m hooked, so here it is…
