I am delighted to be today’s stop on the blog tour for; Autumn in Sycamore Park by CP Ward and to be sharing my review of this charming seasonal bok.

Autumn in Sycamore Park

The first in a new romantic comedy series from CP Ward, author of Christmas at Marshmallow Café and Summer at Blue Sands Cove.

Having fled a relationship and a previous life she would rather forget, young teacher Jennifer Stevens throws herself into a demanding new job at Brentwell Primary. Charged with marshalling a group of unruly eight-year-olds to the autumn harvest festival, her only solace is the peace of nearby Sycamore Park.

As the evenings draw in and the leaves begin to fall, will new friends, delicious autumn treats, and a possible new man on the orange-tinted horizon help Jennifer finally come to terms with her past and begin to look forward into the future?

Autumn at Sycamore Park is another delightful romantic comedy from CP Ward, author of several popular seasonally themed novels. Set against a backdrop of warm autumn days, it offers everything fans of CP Ward’s other books have come to love: laughter, friendship, good times, and a hint of newly discovered love.

Review

Utterly charming!

After all the sun and heat we have all seen over the last few weeks, I have a yearning for cooler Autumnal days. Yes, I may be the only person in the country to be wishing Summer away so we can start Autumn, but I am. There, I’ve said it, I’m not a Summer fan, I don’t like the heat and I definetly don’t like the temperatures we’ve just had; roll on in September and October I say.

So, this book came along at the perfect time just when I needed to escape from all the sun, it’s the perfect remedy I needed; it’s warm and welcoming, heartfelt and charming, and a real winner for those of us (ie; Me) who needs something cooler. The only problem now, I want Autumn here, now!! But, this book certainly satisfies and indulges my Autumnal love.

Autumn in Sycamore Park – honestly, the title alone made me want to read it, I love nothing better than walking through a park or woods lined with glorious Sycamore trees – or I could just sit in my back garden as we have two. Anyway, that caught my attention, then the cover started tempting me and only then did I read the back blurb and decided this one was a book I needed to read, and I am incredibly pleased I did, it was just the thing I needed!

You know when you read a book and you think; ‘Yup, I had to read this and you immediately feel happy when you start reading? Well, this is one of those books, that brings Autumnical joy, and seasonal cheer to your day (even in the midst of summer) plus it leaves you feeling happy.

This book is a real winner, I thoroughly enjoyed the gentle stroll around Sycamore Park. It’s a wonderfully paced and entertaining story of love and finding one’s feet, with an adorable – if slightly eclectic – cast of characters and a charming romance which will have you sighing. This is a light and incredibly easy book, one that will have you charmed and impatiently awaiting those cooler, colourful autumnal months.

A definite must-read!
