I am thrilled to be today’s stop on the blog tour for; Framed by Gail Meath. I love the look of this book, especially the cover it’s so striking!! I am very excited to welcome Gail to the blog for an exclusive author interview, I can’t wait to share it with you all.
About the Book
It’s a deadly game of who’s who, and who isn’t.
Things get pretty sticky for PI Jax Diamond and his courageous canine partner, Ace, when their best friend, a cop, is framed for murder. And not just anyone’s murder. The victim is the fiancée of the most notorious gangster in the city, Orin Marino, Jax’s worst enemy.
Laura Graystone, the budding Broadway Star and Jax’s new squeeze, proves to be an ingenious partner as they sift through clues trying to find the real murderer. But when Jax is pinched for another crime, Laura and Ace are forced to go undercover.
Hang on to your seat as Jax, Laura and Ace take you on another crazy, whodunit ride during the Roaring Twenties. Where no one is who they seem, and those who do, aren’t. Anything goes during an era of fun and frolic, song and dance, speakeasies, gangsters, bootlegging, and bribes.

Interview
Hello, Welcome to Chicks, Rogues and Scandals! Thank you for taking the time to chat with me today.
Firstly, what five words would you use to describe yourself?
Dreamer, animal-lover, history-buff, fun-loving, and family
Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
Framed is the second book in the Jax Diamond Mysteries series, a fun cozy mystery series that takes place during the Roaring Twenties during an era of Broadway, jazz, prohibition, gangsters
When not writing, what do you like to do to relax?
There is nothing I love more than spending time with my grandkids. Lucky for me, they live right around the corner:)
If you could have a holiday home anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I live in upstate New York with cold, snowy, six-month winters, so escaping to beautiful, warm, sunny beach anywhere would be the best holiday!
If you could have one of your books made into a film, which book would it be and who would play your lead character’s?
My idea for the series came from years of watching the old 1930-40s detective films with my mother, and I’ve been told it would make a great weekly television series. In my mind, Myrna Loy (one of my favorites) would play Laura; a younger Brad Pitt would play Jax; and Ace’s character is already based upon my own beautiful and beloved German Shepherd, Gretchen.
When writing, do you plot or just go with the flow?
I try to start out with some sort of outline to give myself direction. But always while writing each chapter, the characters determine where the story is going.
What three tips would you pass on to an aspiring author?
Write what you love to write about, and your passion will shine through.
Developing great characters is of utmost importance.
Learn how to utilize all aspects of social media! (I’m still working on this:)
If you were hosting a dinner party what three people (dead or alive) would you invite?
Agatha Christie for her insight (an amazing woman).
Barbra Streisand for her entertainment (love her voice).
Robin Williams for his humor (love to laugh).
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with me today, I have just one more cheeky question, just for fun; What is your favourite snacking food? Popcorn
Thank you, Frankie x
