My Gawd, how much do I love this book?!
I mean just look at that cover….go on look…my goodness, it’s so swoon-worthy!! The Sebastian on the cover is exactly how I saw him in my head, I love how the cover department has got him and his hidden, complex emotions so right you, it is absolutely perfect for the story.
I really don’t have any eloquent words and full sentences to fully say how much, so I’ll just stick with my usual waffle.
No change there, I suppose!
This is the first book in the brand new; Claiming the Ferrington Empire (happy squeals!!!) which follows the Ferrington brothers as they as the series title states ‘Claims the Empire’ but nothing runs as planned and judging by this first compelling and delightful instalment then we are going to be in for a whirlwind of emotion and drama – I can’t wait!!
Secret’s Behind the Billionaire’s Return is a gorgeous and emotional second chance romance, set in glorious Yorkshire (could you have a more perfect setting for a romance, yes I am hugely biased as I hail from Bronte county) Felicity – or Flick as she used to be known all those years ago, is shocked to find the man who she loved with all her heart, a man she gives her whole to and who left her all those years ago. But, unbeknown to him he left her with a gift, now he is back!
Her emotions are as complex as the situation she and Sebastian have found themselves in, those old feelings for him never faded, but now she not only must protect herself but her daughter, she is fearful of what will happen now he has returned.
Ahh, Sebastian – this man could break my heart, he has his reasons for leaving, he has darkness circling around his mind and he has locked off his heart from the place he vowed never to return to ever again, but now he is back at the family home (or should that be manor) those old schoolboy emotions have reared they ugly head. He has serious old ghosts which need to be exorcized before he can breathe fresh air again until he opens up about his past and the reasons for leaving.
He has always loved Felicity, and you can see that the moment he returns back to Yorkshire, the first person he wants to see is her, the one person who brightens his cloudy and stressful day is her. I loved that very first reunion between them in the guest house, how her complicated emotions get the better of her and his confusion over her reaction. They are an adorable couple, I loved their journey to find happiness, it’s not an easy one for either of them they must lay bare their hearts before happiness can show its face but it is well worth every moment, for the ending, is gorgeous and touches the heart!
Felicity is a strong woman, she may have been a naive girl who gave her heart away as a teenager, but her life turns on its head when Sebastian suddenly leaves, with no explanations, nothing! She is unaware of what happened at the manor and the hurt which is encasing Sebastian. But on his leaving she has to quickly grow up but with the help of her grandmother she soon realises she can make a life on her own with her daughter.
Both Sebastian and Felicity have serious issues to work through, their road to happily ever after isn’t an easy one and it will take time and understanding from each other, this is what Rachael Stewart does best she brings together two people who should be together, who are destined to be happy together and then puts all sorts of trials and drama and huge amounts of emotion in their way which they must work through. I have read a lot of romance, but I have never come across another author who can write such heart-stopping, fragile and raw angsty emotion with real passion and eloquent dignity for the characters, Rachael’s writing tugs at your heart from the first page, and then repairs it again by the last.
Secret Behind the Billuonare’s Return is a story of second chances, starting afresh and finding your feet and allowing your heart to seek its soul mate. The writing is (as always) pitch-perfect, Rachael Stewart’s writing is a dream to read it flows with absolute ease from one scene to the next, you are drawn into the story as though you sitting right there beside Felicity and Sebastian as they worked through their issues and actually talked (talk about feeling like a gooseberry) it’s a beautiful story, which a beautiful message that no matter what happens in life love and happiness will always push the clouds away.
Rachael Stewart really is the queen of romance, she never (ever) puts a toe out of place, she never (ever) fails to entice and make you fall head-over-heels in love and whisk you away on a heart-warming, emotional and spellbinding journey of finding love.
Honestly, we all must get down to our knees and bow to the queen of romance!

Rachael Stewart adores conjuring up stories for the readers of Harlequin Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press, with tales varying from the heartwarmingly romantic to the wildly erotic.
She’s been writing since she could put pen to paper as the stacks of scrawled on A4 sheets in her loft will attest to, and the lovingly bound short stories that her father would run off at work and proudly share out with his colleagues. Thinking it was a pipe dream to be published one day, she pursued a sensible career in business but she was really play-acting, achieving the appropriate degree and spending many years in the corporate world where she never truly belonged. Always happiest when she was sat at her laptop in the quiet hours tapping out a story or two. And so here she is, a published author, her full-time pleasure, a dream come true.
A Welsh lass at heart, she now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children, and if she’s not glued to her laptop, she’s wrapped up in them or enjoying the great outdoors seeking out inspiration.
