Hi Kathy, Welcome to Chicks, Rogues and Scandals! Thank you for taking the time to chat with me today.
Firstly, what five words would you use to describe yourself?
Tenacious: Finish what I start
Vain: No zoom calls without makeup
Talkative: I never know when to shut up
Positive: I can do it.
Helpful: I share whatever I can for other authors, because, let’s face it, it takes a village.
Can you tell us a little about your latest/up and coming release?
Amanda McCabe and I came up with the idea of having a slightly pre Regency stories of girls who attended school together. Now they are out. But one of their friends owns a gaming hell. It will be the running mystery in the six stories over the course of the next three years. We came up with a list of personalities each of our heroines would have and went from there, i.e., bluestocking, thief, wallflower, etc. So far, we are on track. 😊
When not writing, what do you like to do to relax?
Since the pandemic, I watch movies. I used to travel quite a bit. I do miss that.
If you could have a holiday home anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love Ireland, I think. Someplace in Europe. The nice thing about Europe is that you can hop a plane for a reasonable price and go almost anywhere that doesn’t take forever in the surrounding countries.
If you could have one of your books made into a film, which book would it be and who would play your lead character’s?
I think Quotable would be fun. The quirky, introverted heroine played by McKenna Grace (when she’s little older maybe); Henry Cavill for Rick Johnson. He is soooo cute.
When writing, do you plot or do you go with the flow?
Both. I mean, you need a direction.
What three tips would you pass on to an aspiring author?
Sit butt in chair.
Be diligent, it’s not all glamour.
If you love it, do it.
If you were hosting a dinner party what three people would you invite?
I think it would be fun to have dinner with the cast of Friends. Okay, that’s six people, not three. So, how about: Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, and Grace Kelly (can I add James Stewart?)
You certain can add James Stewart, what a great dinner party that would be ~ Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with me today, I have just one more cheeky question, just for fun; What is your favourite snacking food?
Sometimes, I just want a Taco Bell taco. Crispy, if you must know.
Thank you, Frankie x
Thanks for having me, Frankie.
