Review
This is the second book I have read by RaeAnne Thayne, now those who follow my reviews will know that I wasn’t blown away by my first foray into this authors work, I liked it but didn’t love it. But this one has a different feel to it that I instantly liked, it’s incredibly Christmassy if the sound of Sleigh Bells doesn’t make you come over all festive then I don’t what will.
I have to admit that it was the title that caught my eye and piqued my interest in this book, I mean come on ‘Sleigh Bells Ring’ isn’t it wonderful? That alone makes you feel all Christmassy, doesn’t it? And I am a sucker for a Christmas book!
The characters are very likeable, they both have ‘stuff’ swirling around in their personal lives. Annie wants to bring joy to her niece and nephew after they lost their mother and their father (Annie’s brother) landed himself in jail – doh! So she decided to treat them to Christmas on the ranch, she is hoping she will be able to go under the radar as her boss is away, but low and behold a spanner in the works as the Ranches grandson Tate turns up unexpectedly for a big family Christmas. I, really, really loved Tate, he’s a gorgeous handsome and charming cowboy (can I class him as a cowboy? Well, I am) he reminds me of Rip from Yellowstone in a way; devoted and loyal with eyes for only one woman.
Sleigh Bells Ring makes me think of those cheerful festive TV films that we all watch (don’t deny it, you watch them too) it’s cheap and cheerful, true a little cheesy at times but who doesn’t love a bit of cheesy Christmas fun?
Sleigh Bells Ring is a delightful festive clean romance with tons of twinkly Christmas cheer with lots of heart and huge amounts of emotion, it’s just the thing to brighten your day.
