Hello, Sunshines, I have the huge pleasure to be a apart of the blog tour for; Invisible by Lindsay Woodward. This book sounds intriguing and original, I can’t wait to share it with you all, plus I have a sneaky excerpt to tempt you with.

Firstly, I want to say thank you to Rachel at Rachel’s random Resources for the invite.

Alice Bloom has shut herself away from the world for years. But all that changes when three men come into her life. Then there’s smooth and sexy Ethan, whom Alice falls head over heels for, but she just can’t seem to get time alone with him. And finally there’s her lovely, supportive friend Dan, if only they could ever actually get to meet. Because the biggest problem of all is: Alice is invisible.

The complications become more and more hilarious as Alice tries to steer her way through her conflicting emotions and find her way to happiness. Will she succeed or will life always get the better of her?

Excerpt

Alice is invisible and can only be seen when she’s in the sights of a man she doesn’t really like, called Karl. She also happens to really fancy one of his friends. In this extract we see her trying to flirt with the man she likes whilst trying to stay visible.

‘Hello baby,’ Ethan said, tidying shelves at the back. ‘I thought I saw you outside. I’m glad you came.’

‘I’m glad you invited me.’

‘You want to step into my office?’

Alice went to agree enthusiastically when she realised she couldn’t. She couldn’t even step out of the aisle. As soon as Karl was out of sight, so she would be. She had to make sure she stayed in this aisle, around all the sweets and alcohol.

‘I don’t want to go to your office,’ she replied, in what she hoped was a sexy voice.

‘Why not?’

‘I don’t know if I’m safe being alone with you.’

‘Oh,’ Ethan grinned. ‘You definitely won’t be. But you’ll have a good time.’

‘Why don’t we stay here?’

‘Here?’ Ethan asked, the light dimming from his face.

‘Here. Where Karl can see me.’

Alice felt a punch in the stomach from her own sense of decency. She was becoming a horrible person. But when she lost herself in Ethan’s eyes, she couldn’t help it.

‘You want Bladder to see you?’

‘Yes. That way he won’t get jealous. How can I be up to no good if I’m standing right before him?’

‘You are such a player,’ Ethan said with a satisfied grin. ‘And here’s me thinking you were a good girl.’

‘You’re not disappointed are you?’

‘I love it. But how am I going to kiss you if we can’t be alone?’

Alice scanned the area around her. No one was in sight. In fact the shop was very quiet. She pushed Ethan back, just enough so their heads were out of sight – around the top of the aisle – whilst at the same time sticking her leg out behind her so it was still in Karl’s eyeline. Thankfully it seemed to work.

‘Like this,’ she said, and then she placed her lips onto Ethan’s and kissed him quickly.

About the Author

I’m a British author who lives in Warwickshire with my husband and cat. I’ve had a lifelong passion for writing, starting off as a child when I used to write stories about the Fraggles of Fraggle Rock.

Knowing there was nothing else I’d rather study, I did my degree in writing and I’ve now turned my favourite hobby into a career.

I write love stories with a twist, always leaving readers guessing right until the end. They’re far from your normal romance stories, but a love story runs through the heart of all my books, with a sprinkling of something weird thrown into the mix.

When I’m not writing novels, I’m a Marketing Consultant specialising in copywriting, so words really are my world!
