The series is linked by setting – a castle in the Highlands of Scotland – and by a feud between two clans that spans the centuries. It is different in that each book is set during a different era His Convenient Highland Wedding (Janice Preston) is set in the Victorian era. The heroine makes a shocking discovery, and clues to the mystery are gradually uncovered as we go back in time through the Regency era (Lara Temple), Tudor (Elisabeth Hobbes) and finally Medieval (Nicole Locke), when the truth about that mysterious discovery is finally revealed.

I do hope you have enjoyed my little count down to Christmas, and that I have inspired and sent you off in a festive swooning tizzy, I couldn’t think of a better way to get into the festive spirit on this Christmas Eve than with this beautiful series. Honestly, this series is a masterpiece of collaborative writing. Here I would usually blather on and on about how much I adore the authors and their books, but do you really want to read all of that again? I’m sure Janice, Lara, Elisabeth and Nicole would rather you go out and grab copies of their amazing books than listen to me, I think everyone knows by now just how much I adore and admire them and their writing.
Until tomorrow my Sunshines, have a lovely Christmas Eve!
