It’s that time of year again we have made through the madness that is Christmas is over and now we are heading on that one way road towards a whole New Year. A new year of great new books, I can hardly wait! But before we reach 2019 I first must share with you my favourite books of 2018, and believe me, this was no mean feat.

I have read so many great books over the last twelve months, books from authors that I know and love, books from new-to-me authors who are now on my to-read-again list. I have discovered whole new era’s and gone out my regular reading pattern of only reading historical romance and I have started to branch out in other genre’s such as erotic romance and non-fiction. It really has been a very busy year, so when I sat down to write this post I got a bit stumped. How could I pick a handful of my favourite books from all which I have read? As hard as it was to whittle over hundred books down to just twenty, there are one or two that didn’t need any thinking about, and then there was one which really stood out for me and that I have named my Chicks, Rogues and Scandals Best Book of 2018….You’ll need to read the full post to find out what it is though!

Before I share my Chicks, Rogues and Scandals; Favourite Twenty Books of 2018 with you, I firstly want to thank all the amazing authors who have been above kind and generous to entrust their precious work to me to review. You are all amazing, thank you!

So in no particular order, here are my Favourite Twenty Books of 2018!

Never one to retreat, Cat boldly goes where no one else has dared for answers.

Shrouded in secrets, a hostage of lies, Hamlin must endure the fear and suspicion of those who believe he is a murderer. The sudden disappearance of his wife and the truth he keeps silent are a risk to his chances at earning a coveted parliamentary seat. But he’s kept his affairs tightly held until a woman with sparkling eyes and brazen determination appears unexpectedly in his life.
