Three highly romantic and Christmassy stories from three great romance authors, each one is as different from the other’s and yet brought together in this anthology they become entwined and complement each other. Just as with the authors themselves, each author’s own unique writing style is obvious as you read from one story to the next they don’t over whelm each other, they complement each other beautifully.
In this anthology we have the best character’s, all need some Christmas cheer and season good spirits and that is exactly what they find in each of these stories.
Captain Grey’s Christmas Proposal by Carla Kelly
I love the start of this how James and Teddy start telling their love story to their children. While seriously ill while in Savannah James falls madly in love with Theodora, being so far from home and on his death bed he does the only thing that a man in love can do; he proposes to her by letter. Ten years later after being James is wounded again while doing his duty, he can’t seem to get beautiful spirited Teddy out of his head, especially after all these years he finally receives her reply to his question that he asked her. With her yes clutched in his hand he sets sail to America to find the woman who stole his heart, with a prayer that she is still able to marry him, as he fears that he may have lost her after so many years apart.
Will James make it to America and claim the bride that should have been his ten years ago?
