Today I am very pleased to say that I am chatting with USA Today Best Selling author Suzan Tisdale, so take a seat and let’s get to know a bit about Suzan…

USA Today Bestselling Author, storyteller and cheeky wench, Suzan Tisdale lives in the Midwest with her verra handsome carpenter husband. Her children have all left the nest. Her pets consist of dust bunnies and a dozen poodle-sized, backyard-dwelling groundhogs – all of which run as free and unrestrained as the voices in her head.

Hi Suzan, Welcome to Chicks, Rogues and Scandals! Thank you for taking the time to chat with me today. Firstly what five word’s would you use to describe yourself?

Cheeky. Smart aleck. Giving. Deep thinker. Patient.

If you could live in any era and place, when and where would it be? And Why?

Scotland, 14th century, as long as I can take my coffee with me! And my electric fan to help ward off these hot flashes.

Haha! Who was your childhood hero?

I can’t remember! Probably my mother because she was hilariously funny and always made sure we had everything we needed. She was our rock, in an otherwise tumultuous environment. She taught me to try to see the humour in every situation.

What a lovely answer, Suzan! What your favourite time of the year?

Autumn. I love it when the leaves begin to turn, the cooler days, even the rainy days.

Out of all your work, who is your favourite character and why?

That is a tough one. My favourite book, to this day, is Frederick’s Queen. Frederick and Aggie were modelled after my aunt and uncle. I have to tell people that nothing that happened to the fictional character, Aggie, ever happened to the real Aggie! My aunt was raised in a very loving, warm, safe home!

Where doe’s your inspiration for your books come from?

Either divine intervention or insanity. I’m not sure which!

What three tips would you pass on to an aspiring author?

You can’t do anything until you write the book. Just write it! Worry about everything else later. Write with fervour, passion, and from your heart. And get a good editor and cover artist.

If you were hosting a dinner party what three people would you invite? (They can be real/fictional, from any era)

Abraham Lincoln, Wee William (one of my favourite characters from my first series) and author Maya Banks.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with me today, I have just one more cheeky question, just for fun . . . What is your all-time favourite naughty but nice food?

Chocolate in any form! I like to pair my chocolate cake with a good whisky. Jameson’s or Gentleman Jack goes quite well with chocolate cake!

Thank you, Suzan, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to chat with me today.
